Forever Young

Yesterday at the hospital I was observing a patient undergoing a rather invasive procedure. I could tell she was a little skeptical about having me in the room.

We chatted for a bit, and then she asked me to read her what my name badge said.

"It says STUDENT" (me)
"So....are you graduating soon?" (her)
"I have one more year" (me)
"So, how do you like high school?" (her)

EARLIER that day, a random nurse came up to me and said, "you are SO cute, you have such a little baby face". ummmmm.... thanks?

Later that afternoon ANOTHER nurse called me baby faced. What the?? I've never been described as that before, and now twice in one day?

Let's just say next week, I will be wearing a lot more makeup. Babies don't wear makeup. So there.

And here's Nate, RIGHT NOW, being so studious as I blog about:

By the way, whoever said Thursday is the new Friday was NOT in medical/nursing school. It is DEFINITELY still Thursday. In fact, for us, Friday is the new Wednesday, and Saturday is Thursday. No weekends for us. Except Sunday. That's still Sunday.

Happy Thursday!

haha I didn't know they were saying that to you. That day will come when you'll love when people think you look young.

Jen, yeah, I think it's either a nurse thing or a Filipino thing - which both women happened to be.

Did I ever tell you about the time when Bryan and I were first married and went to see a movie? It was my 20th birthday and the lady at the ticket counter wanted to charge us for one adult and one child. And that wasn't the only time we had that problem. I totally understand your frustration but try not to let it bother you. Look at the bright side, your healthy, young, and beautiful, not such a bad combination, is it? BTW, I asked David how old I looked the other day and he said 26, boy do I love that kid!
