Do I Look Smarter?

I think I do!
Nate and Tyson too. See?

That's 'cause we're college grads.

Look at all the people who came to watch us walk across the stage:

I felt like a rock-star.
Sad that you missed it?
Don't worry, we took over a million-billion pictures, so you can feel like you were there.

My grandma asked me on Wednesday what the weather was supposed to be like for graduation.
I told her that for the past 10 days (as far as the 10-day forecast allows you to look) the weathermen (and weatherwomen) had been predicting rain. Rain, rain, all rain. All graduation.

"But don't worry," I told her, "the Utah weatherpeople are ALWAYS wrong, and I predict sun!"

I was right! Look at this gorgeous day.

We got to walk with these people, which made Commencement fun instead of just-a-little-boring.

Do we look like, "We're graduating, and we just don't care"? That was the pose we were going for...

GUESS WHAT happened right after commencement! I, Cami VanDerwerken Barney, got to ring the VICTORY BELL! It was awesome.

(And we only had to wait for about 10 minutes while all the other grads got to ring it too...)

This year, BYU merged the college of Health and Human Performance into the college of Life Sciences, which was sad for me at first, until I realized that was Nate's college, and we could graduate together.

Notice our tassels on the right now? And our diploma (cases)?

Amazingly enough, the announcer got 'VanDerwerken' right and pronounced 'Barney' as 'Barry'. Sorry Nate.

My forecasting skills weren't as good the next day, Convocation, and we had a spot of rain. AKA, thunderstorming downpours all day. This is what 10,000 people not wanting to leave the Marriott Center and another 10,000 people needing to come to the Marriott Center looks like:

Rain on graduation day means it takes nearly an hour to find your grandparents after Convocation.

I found Dani after our SECOND Convocation of the day (Tyson's) and got to take another great picture.

It was so embarrassing, we wore the same dress!

After graduation we went for a rainy photo shoot around campus. Luckily, that weird hat served as a fantastic umbrella so I didn't even get wet! ;-)

You're probably dying to know my very favorite part about graduation.
It was this:

The girl that walked with her two babies. To me this says, "I did it with twins. Amateurs."
Looks like she's losing the one of the left, but smiling anyway. You go girl!

After 4 years of watching cap-and-gowners take pictures at the BYU motto sign and saying, "Someday that will be me", it was our turn. Super surreal.

Happy Graduation!

Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations! Looks like a fabulous day. Great pictures. I can't believe you were so lazy to do it without twins, though:)! tee hee.

HA! Barney as Barry. Almost as amateur as you are, graduating without babies and all.

Congratulations. No more homework and tests. Best feeling ever.

I can't even imagine that that there would be a million pictures! It's not like your family records everything! lol
